For Whom
A poem for the ones who carry more than they show.
For Whom is a short illustrated poem about worth, exhaustion, care, and the quiet ways we learn to measure ourselves by what we can produce, endure, or carry.
It asks what happens when we stop treating survival as evidence that a system is working. What becomes possible when care isn’t something we have to earn? And who might we become if our worth was never something that needed to be proven in the first place?
Written by Megan Brittany Fruia Zara and accompanied by soft watercolor illustrations, For Whom is meant to be read slowly, returned to, and perhaps handed to someone who needs it.

Read it before release
I’m inviting a small group of people to be among the first readers of For Whom.
The digital eARC is free and available to advance readers before the September 22 release.
I’ve also ordered 10 physical advance copies, which I expect to have in hand before release. I’ll gift three physical copies based on the responses I receive, particularly to people who feel a meaningful connection to the work and want to spend time with it.
The remaining physical advance copies will be available at my actual cost. I won’t make any profit from these copies. This is simply a chance to get the hardcover into a few readers’ hands before it officially enters the world.
There’s no requirement to say something nice about the book.
If you choose to share, review, recommend, or respond to it, I want that response to be yours.
